Doulas: I strongly encourage families—especially first-time families, first-time unmedicated birthers, and first-time home birthers—to consider having a doula as part of their birth team.
Doulas provide continuous emotional and physical support, help labor feel more manageable, and complement the clinical care I provide so you feel fully held throughout the process. Because home birth is a unique environment, I recommend choosing someone experienced in home birth so our work together flows seamlessly. Below are a few doulas I trust and love working alongside.
I became a doula because of my own incredible doula, whose compassion, advocacy, and unwavering support inspired me to offer the same to others. As a birth doula, I provide physical, emotional, and informational support so families can birth in the way that feels right for them, and I cherish the relationships built during pregnancy—no question is ever too small. I also offer birth photography to capture the raw beauty and emotion of labor in a professional, unobtrusive way. I am a DONA-certified doula, a VBAC-certified doula, a Birth Becomes You–certified photographer, a Body Ready Method Pro, trained in Spinning Babies and TENS, and a placenta encapsulation specialist.~ Kelly Contretras, CD(DONA)
Aimee Jarrett, Birth Doula
Hello, my name is Aimee Jarrett. I am blessed to be the mother of six sons, all of whom I gave birth to naturally with a midwife.
My personal experience as a pregnant and birthing momma was what sparked my passion to help other mothers though their own experiences. I truly understand how each pregnancy and birth are special and unique and I count it an honor to be invited into a birthing room to support, encourage and serve family’s as they welcome their precious new child into their family’s.
