Aspen Roots Midwifery is an out-of-network provider. Some commercial insurance plans may provide reimbursement for out-of-network home birth midwifery care. Insurance reimbursement is never guaranteed.

Please contact us first to confirm that Aspen Roots Midwifery has availability for your due date.
If you have commercial insurance:
Once availability is confirmed, complete Birth Professional Billing’s Verification of Benefits (VOB). This can help you understand your potential out-of-network benefits before beginning care.
If you are interested in pursuing a gap or network exception for possible in-network benefits, this must be pursued through your insurance plan and approved BEFORE your initial appointment with Aspen Roots Midwifery.
Please note:
Kaiser and TRICARE do not reimburse Aspen Roots Midwifery for home birth midwifery care.
Health First Colorado (Medicaid): Aspen Roots Midwifery is not enrolled as a Health First Colorado provider and cannot accept clients enrolled in Health First Colorado, including clients who wish to self-pay. Please see our Medicaid & Community Birth page for more information.
